Domestic violence is defined as a pattern of behavior used by one person to control another.  If you need help or have a question, please call us.

Emergency Shelter

Amity House- A supportive environment for women and children. We offer safety, encouragement and services in our charming, single-family home. Abused men may be eligible for other safety arrangements.

Legal Services

We offer legal assistance for court and law enforcement intervention, temporary restraining orders. We also help with identifying personal and family needs and establish goal setting. Referrals provide access to doctors, mental health services, social service agencies, childcare, jobs, housing and education, ensuring your well being.


Services are available for residents or non-residents. Either way, we offer individual therapy, support groups & children’s counseling in hopes of developing a plan for your safety and future.

Family Support

Our support groups consist of children’s programs, parenting groups, family life skills, and legal clinic. These groups allow a safe place for victims to share feelings, understand their rights, develop their strengths and begin the process of evolving from victim to survivor.

Emergency Services

Our shelter can help by providing transportation, food, clothing and household establishment in order to get you back on your feet. You do not have to face this alone. We are here to help.

Community Outreach

If your school, church, organization or businesses would like to know more about domestic violence, we would like to visit you and show you how you can become involved in the fight against domestic violence.

We offer outreach and support services to service agencies and individuals dedicated to assisting victims of violence and their families.
